About Queenie Mumbles

The driving force behind Queenie Mumbles is husband and wife team Lisa & Arlindo. They combine to create the atmosphere that is uniquely ... well, Queenie Mumbles!

From the coffee and juices to the à la carte menu, all the little things that you see are borne out of their hard work. Their desire to have a flourishing café which is not only child friendly, but actually welcomes children (and their parents) is reaping rewards. They are now finding a clientèle who appreciate the relaxed mood and let your hair down feeling that only Queenie Mumbles can deliver.

Situated only 50 yards from Stamford New Road, Queenie Mumbles is in picturesque Goose Green a small oasis in the bustle of Altrincham.

As you would expect of a child focused café they have a wide range of toys in the café for the children. Rather than have a separate children's menu, they believe that children like to eat what the adults are eating and so everything on the menu (except steaks) is offered with a children's size.

Arlindo produces fresh food cooked to order using, where possible, local producers and suppliers. The kitchen is open to enable you to see your food being prepared.

If you like Arlindo's modern Portuguese influenced cooking, then why not return in the evening when the toys are put away, the sophistication is brought out and Queenie Mumbles becomes the 'ODD SHOES BISTRO'
